The firm is managing following internationally supported projects.
1.1 Financial Management Project, Ministry of Finance
TEAM Consult is sub-contracted by International Management Consultants Ltd. UK to provide national consulting staff in Nepal. The IMC has with approval of His Majesty's Government of Nepal, been appointed by the Department Of International Development to provide services under the above project.
The responsibilities under the assignment are to provide national consultants as and necessary basis. In addition the TEAM has been providing computer personnel and support staff for the project implementation period. The firm has provided fifteen staff consultants to the IMC in the FMP projects for about five years. It has also directly involved establishing regular invigorated management system in the Project. The project was sub-contracted November 1997 and will be continue till August 2002.
1.2 Maintenance Contract of FMP Software
TEAM has contracted with the IMC to perform maintenance contract of the software prepared jointly by the IMC and the TEAM Consult. Head contract of this contract is DFID under the supervision of the IMC from UK. The firm will be responsible for all aspect of management from planing stage to the project completion and hand over stage. This project is effective for one year period effective from August 2001 to December 2003.
1.3 Support to Monitoring of the Agricultural Perspective Plan Phase I, Strengthening Monitoring, Analysis and Policy Development in the Fertilizer Sector, Ministry of Agriculture.
Oxford Policy Management Ltd (OPM) has been contracted by DFID Nepal to support the Government of Nepal's Agricultural Perspectives Plan (APP). A Project-Support for Monitoring, Analysis and Policy Development in the Fertiliser Sector (SMAP-FS)-has been designed in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives, Fertiliser Unit (MOAC-FU). This is the first phase of the program to the monitoring of the implementation and impact of the APP.
Under the DFID contract the OPM has subcontracted TEAM Consult to look after the management of the implementation activities. The TEAM Consult is responsible to manage daily management activities such as procurement of services, and commodities including facilitating training programs, seminars, and workshops where and necessary basis. Financial recording, vehicle management and communication with the client and users are the additional jobs. 2.1. "Third Party Review of Basic and Primary Education Program Phase
II."
The overall objective of the study was to carry out a rapid assessment of progress in institutional, quality and equity targeting objectives of the program through an evaluation of the implementation of policies and strategies of BPEP II, together with the impact of these measures at school and community levels. The study also made an assessment of the program and budget of the BPEP II for FY 1999/2000 and FY 2000/2001, and examined to what extent the physical and financial targets of the BPEP have been achieved. This project was conducted by TEAM Consult for Department of Education Research and Development Section, Ministry of Education and Sports, Kesharmahal / UNICEF, July-October 2001.
2.2. Reaching the Unreached: Social Assessment for Inclusive Education.
The objective of this study was to undertake social assessment of an effective participation of local communities in basic and primary education. This project was conducted by TEAM Consult for Department of Education Research and Development Section, Ministry of Education and Sports, Kesharmahal. May-September 2001.

2.3. Feasibility Study for Long-term Civic Education Program on Democratic Election System in Nepal.
The objective of this study was to study the feasibility of continuing civic education on democratic election system in Nepal. The study examined the coverage of civic education on democratic election of Nepal. This project was conducted by TEAM Consult for the Election Commission/Danida Human Rights and Good Governance Advisory Unit (HUGOU). March-July 2001.

2.4. Nepal Education and Training Profile
This study was conducted for The British Council, Kathmandu, Nepal, with view to prepare a profile on Education and Training programme (private and public sector institutions involved in formal and non-formal education in Nepal and abroad) (April to May 2000).
2.5. Preparation of An Approach Paper on Revival of the National Development Service (NDS) Program
This paper was prepared for the United Nations Volunteers, Nepal Office. The principal objective of the study paper was to explore possibilities to adopt the modality of the then NDS program implemented under the National Education System of Nepal in 1974 by involving United Nations Volunteers in the present context (September 1998).
2.6. Local Consultant: ADB Employment Promotion and Training Project, Nepal
The project was concerned with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training's (CTEVT, Sanothimi) capability building in curriculum development and effective evaluation of training procedure. It was done in association with an international consulting firm Technonet Asia of Singapore (September 1996).
2.7. Education Sector Strategy Study
This study was simultaneously done with the Health Sector Strategy Study for ADB/NPC and evaluated the public sector management capacities in the areas of personnel and financial administrations (September-November 1996).Top
3.1. Assessment of Effectiveness of Project Inputs and Training on Logistic
Management
This study addressed the issues of the status of health goods' storage facilities, especially at the central and regional levels, the supply situation of medical and monitoring equipment, the status of transport and furnishings support, and the status of the training support. This study examined the status and effectiveness of logistics management and the effectiveness as well as the outcome of logistics management training. This study was conducted for Project Implementation Unit of Population and Family Health Project/World Bank (IDA), Ministry of Health. (June to November 2000).
3.2. Health Sector Strategy Study
This study was conducted in association with Anthony Drexler, staff consultant of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the ADB (Manila) and National Planning Commission (Nepal). The study was basically concerned with the assessment of public sector management capabilities pertaining to personnel and financial aspects in the health sector (September-November 1996).
3.3 Hospital Management Plan, Amppipal Hospital
The objectives of the study are to analyze the existing situation of the hospital and develop a management plan with appropriate solution. This study is being conducted for United Mission to Nepal. On going. Top
4.1. Provided a gender consultant for the National Labour Force Survey to
the International Labour Organization, Country Office, Nepal.
The project was jointly conducted by UNDP/Nepal, ILO, and Central Bureau of Statistics, Kathmandu (May 15-April 10, 1998).
4.2. Benefit Monitoring and Evaluation Study of Water Supply Projects.
This project is being conducted by TEAM Consult for Fourth Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project, Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, Ministry of Housing and Physical Planning. June-July 2001.
4.3. Baseline Survey of Drinking Water, Sanitation and Health/Hygiene Status of the Selected Seven Schools in Four Districts.
The objective of this study will be to collect and analyze information on the situation of drinking water, sanitation and health/hygiene status of the schools and nearby communities. This project is being conducted by TEAM Consult for Nepal Red Cross Society. June-July 2001.
4.4. Situation of Birth Registration in Nepal
This study was conducted for PLAN International, Lalitpur Nepal. The aims of the study are to find out in-depth information on birth registration and its administrative process; magnitude of registered, delay registered and unregistered children in PLAN International's program areas; to dig out the legislative and policy measures taken for birth registration in Nepal; and to suggest to improve the birth registration process in Nepal. (January to May 2000).
4.5. The Study of the Conditions of Dalits (Untouchables) in Nepal: Assessment of the Impact of Various Development Interventions
This study was conducted for the United Nations Development Programme [UNDP]. The overall objectives of the study was to delineate the conditions of the Dalits in Nepal in terms of the effects of governmental and non-governmental development interventions on their socio-cultural and economic milieus in gender sensitive ways, and to generate recommendations for policy application. All together 5,198 respondents from 18 districts covering Mountain, Hills, Terai and all the five development regions were interviewed (October 1997 to June 1998).

Discrimination and Forced Labour of Occupational Castes in Nepal.
The objective of this study was to analyse the situation
of discrimination and forced labour (including child labour) of occupational
castes in Nepal to propose specific recommendations for policies of HMG/N
and for the activities of social partners and ILO Area Office to mainstream
the elimination of caste based discrimination in their activates. The study
report also provided useful insights for the elaboration of the National Strategy
by the National Planning Commission and contributed the inclusion of Dalit
issues in the 2003 ILO Global Report on Discrimination. This project was jointly
conducted by TEAM Consult and Dalit Welfare Organisation for International
Labour Organization Office, Pulchowk. August-November 2002. Top
5. MIS/Financial Management Software Development
5.1. HARP MIS Development Project and Software Maintenance
The main objective of the project was to develop Management Information and
Program Monitoring and Evaluation Software to be used by the staff and project
personnel of the Hill Agriculture Research Project (HARP)/DFID. The components
of the project were end users requirement assessment study, and product design.
In this project, the whole project design cycle framework structure was used.
This project was conducted for the Hill Agriculture Research Project Kathmandu.
(November 2000 to February 2002).
5.2. Nepal Financial Management Project - Phase-2 Extension: Information Technology Consultancy at the Ministry of Finance.
This project has been undertaken by the International Management Consultant LTD (IMC), U.K., and funded by the Department For International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom for restructuring of the existing budgetary system and improvement of the present revenue collection structure of Nepal. This organization (TEAM) has subcontracted with the IMC to provide services on Information Technology and Management of software and hardware handling and to assist international consultants and project personnel in project management as well as implementation activities. (February 2000 to August 2001, ongoing).
5.3. Financial Management Project - Phase 2 Extension: Budget Information System Consultancy at the Ministry of Finance.
This project has been undertaken by the International Management Consultant LTD (IMC), London and funded by the Department For International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom for restructuring of the existing budgetary system and improvement of the present revenue collection structure of Nepal. This organization (TEAM) has subcontracted with the IMC to provide services on Information Technology and Management of software and hardware handling and to assist international consultants and project personnel in project management as well as implementation activities. (January 2000 to February 2001).
5.4. Nepal Financial Management Project - Phase-2: Information Technology
Consultancy at the Ministry of Finance.
This project was undertaken by the International Management Consultant LTD (IMC), U.K., and funded by the Department For International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom for restructuring of the existing budgetary system and improvement of the present revenue collection structure of Nepal. This organization (TEAM) subcontracted with the IMC to provide services on Information Technology and Management of software and hardware handling and to assist international consultants and project personnel in project management as well as implementation activities. (November 1997 to January 2000).
5.5. To establish a "Macroeconomic Information System" in the Ministry of Finance, HMG/Nepal, the TEAM Consult provided consultancy services in terms of the local counterpart expert to the International Management Consultant Ltd. (IMC), U.K., on improvement and establishment of data for economic policy formulation, budget preparation, monitoring and analysis (November 1998 to June 1999).
5.6 Fertilizer Monitoring Information System
Fertilizer Monitoring Information System is user-friendly application package designed by TEAM Consult for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives/ Fertilizer Unit for monitoring fertilizer use, supplies, prices and quality based on the recommendations of the recent fertilizer use study. This system will facilitate the MOAC/ Fertilizer Unit for timely and effectively processing and analyzing fertilizer related information such as fertilizer use, fertilizer supplied (production, import and distribution), quality and prices. Also, it will make DADOs to collect fertilizer related information timely and efficiently through user-friendly data collection formats. July 2003. Top

The objective of this study will be to provide the Donor Practices with necessary background materials for further discussions on harmonization of working procedures. This project is being conducted by TEAM Consult for the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Kathmandu. May-July, 2001.

6.4. Local Consultant appointed by NORDIC Consulting Group, Norway, concerning Review of Norwegian Country Assistance to Nepal.
The scope of the work was to produce a brief overview of the procedures for annual budgeting, accounting and auditing procedures at central government and district level including a description of the payment system (disbursement and release of funds); to produce a matrix of the projects in the development budget for 1998/99 on budget estimate and actual expenditure by providing an overview of budget and actual expenditure by sector distributed by donor and to provide a brief on the political and institutional framework related to decentralisation of government structure i.e. describing the role of the central government ministries versus the authority and responsibility of the local Government.

7.1. Organizational Study of National Productivity and Economic Development
Centre (NPEDC)
This study was undertaken to inquire about the adequacy of the organizational structure and management and human resources of the Centre in order to promote its productivity and service delivery quality (June - July 1999).
7.2. Strengthening the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Exploration of Other Social Security Scheme for Nepal; A Project Scoping Study"
The purpose of the project was to promote and execute contributory Social Security through strengthened Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in Nepal. The project was designed for providing of the grant- in- aid to the EPF by DFID through the HMG. The study commissioned by the Department for International Development (DFID)- Enable State Programme Nepal. This study was jointly undertaken by the Employees Provident Fund and TEAM Consult (November 1998-February 1999).Top
8. Meteorological and Hydrological Study
8.1. Morphological Studies of Chauraha and Chiruwa Khola
This study was conducted for the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Nepal. The aims of the study were to study the river course of 1958, 1978 and 1996; to monitor the river course change from 1958 to 1978; and to prepare the Geo-morphological Maps (January-March 1999).

8.2. Preparation of Bathymetric Map of Ghodaghodi Lake
This study was conducted for the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Nepal. The objectives of the study were to carry out water depth survey to assess the Lake volume and Lake water, prepare Bathymetric map, and to establishthe storage-elevation relationship (January-March 1999).
8.3. A Study of River-Crossing at Gaighat, Chitwan
This study was undertaken for National Research and Development Centre for Alternative Energy, RONAST/JICA in mid-June 1995. The main objective of the study was to collect baseline information to identify the need of the Natural Force Ferry System as an alternative river-crossing technology at Gaighat of Chitwan district (July 1995).
8.4. An Impact Study of Natural Force Ferry System at Ghatbesi on Trishuli River, Dhading
This study was conducted in mid-June 1995 for National Research and Development Centre for Alternative Energy, RONAST/JICA. The main objective of the study was to assess the socioeconomic effects due to the installation of the Natural Force Ferry System, a mode of river-crossing, and was an improved technology compared to the traditional boat. The NFF at the Ghatbesi waterway was the first rural river crossing technology, which was jointly installed by RONAST and JICA on an experimental basis. Therefore, the additional aim of the study was also to assess the feasibility of the dissemination of the technology elsewhere in the country (July 1995).
